INTRODUCTION to “Tempation, the Great Destroyer”
A while back the Lord led me to the fourth chapter of Luke and I started to see some things that took place in the wilderness experience Jesus had. As I spent time reading this account over and over and praying, the Lord started to show me that much of what I was going through at the time was similar to what Jesus had already won the victory over. He showed me that the devil has no new tricks and everything he tempts us with is exactly what Jesus went through in the wilderness.
Then the revelation came of how the whole thing was nothing more than the same test Adam and Eve failed in the Garden of Eden. The result is, because of the victory Jesus wrought for us while on the earth [having become a man], we can now walk in the path of overcoming authority over the devil and all his bag of tricks [fear, defeat, hopelessness, sickness, confusion and anything else that steals kills and destroys]!!
Although I do not claim to have expressed in this teaching all the revelation possible on this subject [for I do not have it all], my hope is that the reader will gain some light in the area of how the devil works to test us. The Spirit of God will then take you further into this study to better understand what’s needed in order for you to live the victorious life He has for you.
